Why did I have a miserable life some of you asked? Well looking back now, to a “normal” person or from outside looking in, it wasn’t such a bad life. SOME will think that and I am not even going to explain why because I would much rather talk about why I thought it was miserable and why getting fired was one of the best things that happened to me.

I was in an OK job except for the fact I was underpaid, over worked, there was no where to go (get promoted), my boss hated me, my coworkers acted like preschoolers, everyone I use to like and talk to had left or transferred to a different department so basically I was there feeling alone, overwhelmed, knowing that life had so much more to offer but didn’t know how to achieve that.

I started waking up to the fact life had more to offer but I never knew how to change things around. I never knew I had THE POWER to change things around. I never knew the options that were out there for me. I had a mentor that I was talking with about once a week trying to decide on “my purpose” in life. I thought I had to have it all figured out before I acted…

BOY I WAS WRONG!

I had taken NUMEROUS attempts to own my own business or make money on my own but my problem was that when things or success didn’t come quick enough, I quit. I look back now and realize if I would have just stuck with anything I had tried in the past I would have reached success a lot sooner and I would have had a lot less headache and heartache.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me but I believe a JOB is no longer the way to go.

JOB = Just Over Broke

Really unless you are at the top you are always kissing someones ass trying to climb the latter that 99.9% of people never reach their destination. Why would people put themselves through that is BEYOND me? I really don’t get it. Some will say its security… really?! How?! Now don’t get me wrong, you have to do what you have to do to provide for your family; I am just saying it should be a step in your journey not your destination.

Some like working for others and hey…

MORE POWER TO YOU! I WILL LEAVE ALL OF YOU THE J-O-B’S

Today you can find your passion and GO WITH IT! You CAN make money doing what you like doing!

{Side Note: As successful as I am today I know I will continue to grow and so will my success and I know I have not reached my destination yet, THANK GOD! If I had there would be no reason for me to be here anymore. What turned things around for me is I started having faith in God when I was at my lowest, I started to be happy even though we had less than we have ever had, and I ACTED!}

In other words I woke up! I realized I could do more and I could do what I LOVE doing AND get paid while doing it. It took me a while to figure this all out and realize that blessing in disguise from getting fired, but I am so glad I became closer to God and I realized that I don’t have to have my destination in mind to enjoy the journey.

I THANK GOD EVERYDAY for relieving me of that stupid job.

The moral of this story is that if you are unhappy where you are or where your life is…

YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE IT!

It doesn’t have to happen overnight, but…

Now let me back up a minute. Me and my husband just took in two teenage brothers (16 and 18) who were friends of the family and homeless. I was also raising a 1 and 5 year old, working full time, working on my masters and I had some health issues at the time on top of all that.

My boss was extremely unreasonable and didn’t like me (I think this is because of the strong woman I am and she was totally intimidated by me ). She was only my boss for about a year and a half and she wanted to build her own team so she looked for with a microscope to find a way to fire me and screw me with unemployment also. She was very sneaky and in retrospect I was too cocky and thought I was indispensable. I soon found out EVERYBODY is indispensable.

So after sulking for about a month and thinking unemployment was going to take care of me also, which is as much of a joke as thinking social security will take care of you, I started to look for another job. In the meantime I became a lot closer to God and I was doing some soul searching.

I didn’t want to go back to a “JOB” I really didn’t but my husband didn’t make enough to support the 6 of us. We had no savings so I was wondering what I could do. I ended up stumbling across someone who was in network marketing at a seminar that I went to. (One of many that I went to that summer looking for what my next part of life should be.)

I knew a little about network marketing for my parents were in Amway in the 1980′s but I didn’t know anything compared to what I know now. I started out following my uplines advice and had some reasonable amount of success in the beginning. I made my “list of family and friends”, I harassed people in the malls, coffee shops, parking lots, and fast food restaurant just KNOWING they wanted to join my business opportunity… what a joke!

I would say to my upline I know there is a better way to reach people using the internet why don’t we do some of that. I would get comments like “If that kind of stuff worked they wouldn’t need us!” Well… I didn’t know any better so I kept doing the same shit that didn’t work. (Isn’t that the definition of insanity?)

Then I had some personal stuff going on and I didn’t do anything for about 6 months. Then after I was home-bound because of having my car repoed I then turned back to the internet. Having my car taken away from me was a blessing in disguise. Because it was the internet that made my success’s and is now allowing me to help others build a business, reach financial freedom, release stress, and most importantly spend more time with their families.

SO just in this post alone there was at least three horrible things that happened to me… 1) getting fired 2) bad uplines advice and 3) car getting repoed. BUT they all contributed to my success today. See the blessings in disguise. Everything happens for a reason and if you turn that bad energy into good you will be amazed at how quickly your life can turn around.

Today I am going to discuss how to build relationships online. First off you need an autoresponder. PERIOD! I don’t make the rules I just follow them. When I first started out I didn’t want to PAY any money for an autoresponder. I was using a site builder that had an email and optin form built in, but it wasn’t designed to have emails blasted automaticly. That is key!

It’s crazy, I have 3 ‘s (actually 4 but the one is crappy so it doesn’t count). I have the one I was writing about in my previous post, I have a Kodak that takes both video and still shots but JUST YESTERDAY it doesn’t turn on, and then a Sony video that I cannot find the cord to so I can charge it…. Thought I had back up to my back up… guess not!

Ok, to the subject at hand. If you are in network marketing and you are not marketing online then in my opinion you don’t have a business. TODAY IS THE 21st CENTURY and ALL Business owners need to market online but especially my network marketing friends.

Now a lot will say it’s against their policy, well… if that is true I would recommend going with a different company. It might not be true though because “IT’S YOUR BUSINESS!”, right?! That’s what they tell us when we get started. In my opinion, ANYWAY you can market your business and create relationships and connections is fair game.

You are able to talk about your experiences, products, services, whatever it is… YOU CAN TALK ABOUT IT! Most NM Companies are old age and it is taking them a while to catch up. BELIEVE ME… The network marketing company that teaches you how to market online will be a gold mind. A lot of us had to figure it out on our own.

OK this is the process… you may want to go grab a pen and take down the next few paragraphs… or better yet, bookmark this page.

Step 1: Create a optin/capture/landing page. All of these terms are basically the same. You want a page with some but little information on whatever it is you have to offer and then have them OPT IN with name and email to see more of your great content. THE MAIN GOAL OF THIS PAGE IS TO GET PEOPLES CONTACT INFORMATION! PERIOD! That is all this page is meant for. You want their contact information so you can start building a relationship with them which will be a whole different post.

Step 2: The offer! Also called a sales page NOW DO NOT Direct people to your company website, offer a great product, service, or whatever. You can also find some great companies to be an affiliate with that you can use as your sales page and get commissions off of the sales. (sometimes affiliates get 75% of price… this can be an extremely lucrative business if done right; again another post… I should be writing these topics down )

Step 3: Build report with your prospects by having an auto-responder email campaign. I use get response and GVO and recommend you use one. A lot of people use aweber too. If you want more on which auto-responder to use, let me know.
